Movie World Cup Fever is upon us, and we’re celebrating by getting shin guard deep into a massive competition that honors the cinema of each country in the Cup. Completely contrary to their standings in the real World Cup, and despite a surprise draw between the two teams today, Slovakia finds itself in a true David versus Goliath situation against the heaviest favorite in the entire competition. New Zealand’s Lord of the Rings: Return of the King faces off against the beautiful story of a murderess in Slovakia’s Bathory. Both films are fantastic in their own right, but only one can win, and the bets are all going against the handily-woven tale of Countess Elizabeth Bathory.
