I didn't mind Nick Stahl as like, wussy John Connor. Kate was really the stronger of the two. The image of Stahl all grown up and bad ass was laughable. But as for his age, there is some discrepancy in the time line. John was supposed to be 10 in 1995, when T2 happens. T3 takes place 9 years later, which would make him 18 or 19. But in T3, I believe they give his age as 23 at one point and say he was 13 when T2 happened. It's just a script mix up somewhere in there and it just depends who you want to go with. I went with the events of T2 being correct, making him a teenager.

"A now teenaged John Connor"... Well that explains part of my problem with T3... I never, for one second, believed Nick Stahl as John Connor, and if he was supposed to be a teenager, he was seriously miscast. I got the impression that was supposed to be a 20-something John. T3 left a bad taste in my mouth when I got around to watching it; there was only one decent scene in the entire movie (two if you count the semi flipping end over end). The original was the best, but T2 was an excellent follow-up.

Wow, that's a very detailed guide!

I eagerly anticipate reading FSR's review of Terminator: Salvation because I think you guy's keep the audience in mind and maintain a nerd's perspective. I've skimmed through a few T: S reviews and they aren't positive (although not overly negative either).
