I'd add that the film also features an excellent Korngold score (Robin Hood being his - and Flynn's - pinnacle; a perfect adventure/romance movie). They would show movies that were first run at that theater when it was a movie palace in the early part of the 20th century. One Monday, they had an Errol Flynn double feature with "Captain Blood" and "Robin Hood". Can't beat that. So I had the fun of seeing "Captain Blood" as it was meant to be seen: On the big screen. It's still one of my all-time favorite films. Thanks for a great review that will hopefully turn more people on to this great movie! (And Errol Flynn, who was smokin' hot-awesome in his youth!)
