A creature created by his masters own hubris wanting to play God, he is now stuck in a world which he does not understand, and everyone is afraid of him. This film is great with the transfer of mentality, first with Dr. frankenstein's mad screaming of life, then the mob screaming for death. Both wrapped up completely in their own beliefs. Great film, great article. I, too, find the character of Frankenstien’s Monster to be a sympathetic one.
