WOW

Neil Miller actually said that you can’t cut a human body in half???? Neil you seriously need to read more factual reference books about Samurai culture and the swords per se. Swords in Feudal Japan were based upon body cuts and the number they could effectively cut thru before stopping. There were 3, 4 and even 5 body swords and they were highly prized by their owners and passed down to their descendants. To make such an asinine comment and then defend the types of movies you normally praise is incredible.

Ok lets touch on the blood aspect, you do realize that blood is not the same color in your body, right? There is dark and bright red blood, the bright colored blood is oxygenated that has come from the heart. The dark blood is blood returning to the heart to be re oxygenated. Now I agree that the blood in the movie was a little over the top, but give me a break, this movie did not at any time portray itself as a fact based account of ‘Ninja Assassins”. It was an homage to the Ninja movies of the 80’s and it hit the nail on the head, dead bang. Sho Kasugi showed that even at 60 he is a bad assed MF’er. Seriously Neil you need to go and watch ninja scroll to realize all the elements that movie lent itself to this one, In short I loved the movie, great action, perfect swordsmanship, nice twists

i disagree. i liked the movies you referenced. Ninja Assassin pales in comparison to them. i will grant you that i'm more likely to watch this than TF2 but it's just as bad. there are loads of older kung-fu movies that are much better than this because they don't waste half a movie trying to include "Europol" side plots and background flashbacks

Ninja Assassin was badass! if you like 300, Sin City, or any other highly stylized movies, you should love this. The story is by the numbers but Rain is basically an asian Rambo and the action and gore were off the hook. Best action movie I've seen since District 9. This is how you make a hollow action movie, not bloated crap like Transformers 2.

Ninja Assassin was madd boo. i expected lame dialogue, acting, and plot...but even the 'stylized action' was poor. and half the movie is boringly whack buildup/flashbacks/training in an apartment/rote "investigator digging too much" bullshit. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS but - i'm still Team Kevin
