I grew up with a different kind of film, so maybe its a little harder for me to appreciate it. I mean, I do like the movie. But like any film, when everyone tells you how gruesome and scary and great it is, it's not going to live up to the hype. I like seeing gore and all that. As for the remake of Psycho, that was like the worst joke in all history. That deserves a hearty WTF. As a youngster, I wasn’t blown away by the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. She looked awesome. But I thought the original was so visceral and grisly with its explosive violence (like when Leatherface beat the guy in the hallway with the hammer) but didn't do the on-screen gore, it got ruined a bit with the on-screen chainsawing. It was kinda like (but not nearly as pointless as) the remake of Psycho. The original movie was just so perfect for what it was. I'll give you the Jessica Biel in a tight white T-shirt.
