Fat Guys at the Movies

On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil hook up in the Virtual Magical Studio in the Sky once again before Neil heads down to Austin, Texas, for a lucrative life as an entertainment journalist. He even swears that he’ll buy a bicycle and become less fat. Kevin makes fun of Neil for his fear of scary movies, and Neil makes fun of Kevin for his acceptance of movies about shopaholics. On the show, Kevin announces the winners of the 2009 GAG Awards, and they both wish all their listeners a Happy Valentine’s Day.

  • Correction: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was good. =P
  • What remake were you watching? TCM 2003 sucked donkey balls.
  • Jessica Biel + Tight white T-Shirt = Great.
Also, chainsawing people is kind of a turn on to me. And R. Lee Ermey is my hero.
  • I'll give you the Jessica Biel in a tight white T-shirt. She looked awesome.

But I thought the original was so visceral and grisly with its explosive violence (like when Leatherface beat the guy in the hallway with the hammer) but didn't do the on-screen gore, it got ruined a bit with the on-screen chainsawing.

It was kinda like (but not nearly as pointless as) the remake of Psycho. The original movie was just so perfect for what it was.
  • As a youngster, I wasn't blown away by the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I grew up with a different kind of film, so maybe its a little harder for me to appreciate it. I mean, I do like the movie. But like any film, when everyone tells you how gruesome and scary and great it is, it's not going to live up to the hype. I like seeing gore and all that.

As for the remake of Psycho, that was like the worst joke in all history. That deserves a hearty WTF.
