Why is everyone always up Mickey Rourke's ass? Sure he's had his share of "powerful" performances, but The Wrestler wasn't that impressive. It lacked emotional depth and dragged the fuck along, during which I took a nap and had to rewatch later. Plus he's starting to look like the bowed up chick from Napoleon Dynamite. Hard to watch.

I'm going to have to agree with Rob in regards to The Wrestler. It is a mediocre film. Mickey Rourke and Marissa Tomei do a great job. The film captures the life of amateur and run-down wrestlers quite well, but the I think the film is just "meh". The only thing I like about the film is the realistic look at professional wrestling. I don't care about Randy trying to make up with his daughter. I don't care that he tries having a relationship with Cassidy. Why don't I care? Because Randy is such an unlikable character. I said the film is mediocre to me because I only like the scenes in the ring and the scenes backstage. The rest is just an attempt at trying to make the film a heartfelt drama, which doesn't work for me because I can't stand Randy.

This movie gets a pass from me. I was lucky to see it for free but I won't pay money to see it again.

Edit: I won't be picking up Caprica or even watching it when it airs on television because one of the writers is responsible for one of the most God-awful epsiodes to have ever graced television: the episode "Deadlock" from Battlestar Galactica.

That puzzle box set has to be one of the coolest packagings I've ever seen. I know it would have cost far too much to produce, but it would have been even cooler if a small run of 100 or so were made out of wood. Creepy as hell.

It also may have been out of the price range for mass production, but having the Cenobites show up after you open the dvd would have been a nice touch.

Nope. I like to think outside the obvious choice box sometimes.

Besides, I needed the space for the lesbian nun movie.
