We are now in the 'full bore backlash' stage...since over the summer everyone was praising how entertained they were by Heath Ledger's take on The Joker, people need to come out of the woodwork proclaiming that they didn't like what everyone else liked. My guess is that it has something to do with events like people getting together over the holidays and having that lame uncle or smarmy cousin talk about how cool he was. Or maybe too many Halloween costumes or something. Either way, people need to distance themselves from things that are popular, no matter their merit. So here we are. I can proudly say I was entertained like crazy, and I'm happy a LOT of people went to see it and enjoy the guy's last performance...even if my mother in law is aware of how much it made.
