Discuss: Should Storm be in Wolverine’s Origin?

Should Storm show up in Wolverine?

As you probably already know, Lauren Shuler Donner, a Producer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine spoke with the foreign press of Widescreen Vision and denied that Storm was going to make a cameo in the film.

It’s been a hotly contentious question amongst fanboys ever since Halle Berry the character was spotted in one of the trailers, and fans wondered if she was going to make the final cut of the film. Would should have a cameo? A decent role? Would she be in it at all?

Now, we’re getting that official word from a Producer that she definitely won’t be in the film.

My question is – should she be?

There’s no debating that she was a major part of all three X-Men films, for better or worse, and Storm could easily be placed within the right time-line to be present in Wolverine’s past. Then again, this film is taking on an entirely new feel with a different cast and what appears to be a grittier tone than the other movies. Storm’s presence might drag that all back down and serve as a reminder of the third film of the trilogy, X-Men Forever United by Love.

What do you think? Storm apparently isn’t in Wolverine at all? Is that a good thing? Would it have been cool to see her?

    I think the X Men franchise needs a reboot, so starting fresh with Wolverine seems like a good start.
    Let Halle get her own damn movie!

    Yeah, she was one of the least palatable elements of the X-Men movies. I don't know if it was Halle or the way the character was written or a bit of both-- I haven't seen her in much else-- but I think working Gambit and Deadpool into a Wolvy "origin" tale is already stretching it a bit, unless he ends up in Kenya or Cairo at some point.
  • X-men reboot will be good as well, but putting in Halle Berry as Storm in X-men Origin: Wolverine movie (Cole), is going to make it confusing. Although on the glimpse in the trailer we've seen a young Ororo (Storm) was shown. I think it was a perfect way to show the original orifins of all X-men character come together. Storm will be a good movie to make but her script will have to be strong if fan will love to see her in the big screen. Halle Berry or not I will still pay to see her on her own screen.
  • only problem with showing the X-Men character's coming together is that Wolverine meets them FOR THE FIRST TIME in the first X-Men, are we just supposed to assume he already knew who she was and just didnt bother to bring it up?

  • I like the fact this movie is starting fresh with a whole new cast a mutants and I'm happy they finally put Gambit in this, about damn time I say.
