Daily Diversion: The Uncanny Valley Explained

Normally I wouldn’t use my Daily Diversion time to hold science class, but I found this to be pretty interesting. It was brought to my attention by the 3D-loving Jim Dorey over at MarketSaw, a site so into third-dimensional cinema that it may literally poke you in the eye with awesome. This little video above cleverly explains the “uncanny valley,” the phenomenon that has caused many an animated film to fall by the wayside. Basically it is the theory of… well, you can watch the video for yourselves.
