It’s no secret that I have a black hole in my heart for mumblecore. It doesn’t even seem like a legitimate genre of film so much as the works of one director and a few who attempt to emulate, but that larger point aside – I just find most of those movies straight up boring. Sure, there’s some great moments in The Puffy Chair, but it feels like they shot what should have been rehearsals and story brainstorming sessions and slapped the footage into the editing room. Which is exactly what Duplass and company do.

This trailer is from a filmmaker named Wallace Cotten, and it’s acting as an advertisement teaser for his other projects. You can check out more from him here.
