Most have only heard Nena on retro 80's albums and the stray MTV reference so they were not able to connect the two. It is a lot of characters to explain in a two and half hours, and these characters are each unique and immersive the audience really has to get to know them. I think The Watchman as a movie this is the best an audience is going to get, but it may be a short time before it gets translated again into a miniseries. The miniseries medium needs to be rethought. Maybe someday a studio will instead of a 100 million dollar 2 to 3 hour movie, make a 12 to 20 hour miniseries that has the necessary scope and depth to tell the story to its fullest extent and giving each character the necessary screen time they deserve. This is because it is able to give the audience more time to live with the characters through battles and through the downtime. Well then it should have been made into a miniseries.
