You know I always thought that Crispin Glover would have made a good Joker If Heath never got the part.He has the perfect look and everything he would almost resemble the Joker from the animated series.Either him or I know this might be a little off but Jim Carrey should even get a shot at it I mean come on he would nail that role hands down.

I think Heath Ledger was originally going to come back in the sequel but after his untimely death this left a huge ripple in the Nolan Universe. Now The Brothers Nolan and David S. Goyer face quite a dilemna in following up the second most successful movie in film history! Do they bring back The Joker played by another actor? Who would take on such a role after Heath Ledger's tragic death? I could see either Alan Cumming or Adrien Brody pulling it off. Have you guys seen Cumming? He looks just like the comic book Joker! As for Brody,he did win for The Pianist and he looks a lot like Ledger's Joker with his long locks. A lot of people want to see Johnny Depp play The Riddler. A lot want Brittany Murphy to play Harley Quinn,The Joker's love interest/punching bag. Many want Philip Seymour Hoffaman to play The Penguin. Cher and Angelina Joile both want to play Catwoman! There is so much frenzy and hype surrounding The Dark Knight! Why? Because it's The Number One Pop Phenomenon right now that's why! And it continues to put asses in theatre seats after beating Star Wars to a pulp! So who will the villain(s)be in the eagerly anticipated sequel? Only Chris Nolan knows for sure. Him and his wife. She produces all his movies! And his brother. He co-writes his screenplays,or rather scripts. And the Nolans aren't saying shit! Hell, would you?

"but this movie kinda begs the question, has he peaked too soon?"

No one knew Ledger would die. It seems highly possible the Joker would be back in another film.
When the movie was made there was no way of knowing the Joker would die with Heath Ledger.

Nice. The LA Times article is pretty nice - especially some of the pics and the props for Mark Hamil. But minus points for using "mustached" instead of "mustachioed." Weird to see pics of Ceaser Romero next to Heath, too. Puts things into perspective.

nice article. I suppose now the Joker has been established as the ultimate villian to the batman, who can top that in the third movie? not so much the actor, but indeed a character much more menacing than the joker. Im sure chris nolan can pull it off, but this movie kinda begs the question, has he peaked too soon?
