Jesus, practically every film you list has a 2 or a 3 after FFS! Furthermore the few that don’t don’t are ALL REMAKES/REBOOTS.

At least Elysium is an original script, you sir are a terrible arbiter of taste lacking both imagination and soul. Take a risk my friend, try watching something that IS NOT a remake or a sequel for once, you may be surprised.

I prefer to give Neil Blomkamp the benefit of the doubt, maybe he was TRYING to show homage to all of those movies by showing that they can have all that junk, but when it sits on top of a (hopefully) solid script and a genius director is behind it all, they can actually be celebrated as really good.
