I don't know if fan response has any push in the business, but Marvel and Favreau definitely need to know the disappointment shared by at least half of Iron Man fans. If Marvel or Favreau would just come out and explain the decision, that would at least help us fans who are against this switch, understand the move. Very very sad. Its true the movie will still do well, but with the amount of fan push back on this move, it won't reach its potential. It is extremely disapointing. Maybe he was holding back for an upcoming sequel to shine, but he did not stand out in Iron Man. However, I think symmetry helps and I wish they would have stayed with him.
