I agree. Hollywood seems to view January (and August) as a dumping ground for bad films, and with the poor quality of most horror films, they get crammed into January releases. I was really disappointed this October when I wanted to go see a horror film, and the only two finding release was another Saw sequel (which seem to be getting worse and worse) and a lackluster remake of a good film which came out a year ago. I'm looking forward to The Unborn, on the off chance that it wont suck, but I think I would've liked it more if it were released around Halloween, when horror films should be released.

I'll never understand why studios don't release horror movies in October, the only time of year people look forward to being scared.

Fure, I was thinking this exact same thing last night. Why can these films not be released around a time in relation to their subject matter? Do distributors not understand that would make them more money, as well as provide a better viewing for the audience? Sigh. Stupid Hollywood. When will we get our chance, Fure? When I say!
