Blaxsploitation Across the Nation. The Daily Diversion.
Daily Diversion By Neil Miller on November 24, 2008 | (10) CommentsSure, we are a little late on the uptick on the week’s first edition of The Daily Diversion, but trust me when I say that its worth it. The trailer for Black Dynamite, a homage to blaxsploitation starring Michael Jai White, has been blazing up the interwebs all weekend, taking the man to task wherever it goes. The folks at New York’s Ars Nova Entertainment announced proudly this week that their film, which was written and directed by Scott Sanders, has been accepted by Sundance and will be part of their Midnight programming.
I’ve added this to my Sundance must-see list. Want to know why? If you need to know why, then you obviously haven’t watched the trailer above. Get on that shit, people. Black Dynamite has no official release date as of yet, so if you’d like to see it you will have to meet me in Park City in January. I’ll buy drinks.
Have a video suggestion for The Daily Diversion? Of course you do. Just send that junk via electronic mail to editors@filmschoolrejects.com.
