The problem I see in the endorsement of pornography in popular culture is not that pornography is evil or that sexuality needs to be repressed. I simply think that pornography is less related to healthy sexuality than it is to objectification, reactionary distortion and misogyny (or a fear of woman). Yes I have watched pornography, but this negates my view that it is inherently unhealthy about as much as the view that murder is harmful is negated by a person who murders people. Maybe I am wrong, and television and the internet have gone a long way to sealing the mainstreaming of porn regardless of what anyone thinks or cares about it. I just think that gleefully endorsing porn culture is desire driven (as opposed to rational) and socially questionable at best.

And I think if one is looking for a person to play a role in, say a film about a basketball player and a porn star, it would be a better idea to cast talented actors rather than sports/porn stars because popular movies are generally concerned with style and illusion over authenticity. Cheers.

You over-looked (perhaps purposefully as it exceeds the "cameo" classification) Traci Lords' season-long role in NBC's execrable "Profiler." And what of the ubiquitous Hedgehog's amusing and appropriate cameo in "54?" And Jenna Jameison's eye-candy turn in the short-lived Josh Brolin series, "Mister Sterling."

But a major oversight was neglecting Vanessa De Rio… yeah, I know: a bit before your time… in "NYPD Blue" as a former porno actress who is getting harassing phone calls.

What about Koo Stark, who ALMOST made it into Star Wars in the initial scenes with Biggs
on Tatooine, that was ultimately cut.
