The Incredible Hulk television series is the single most important TV show of my childhood, and it is arguably the best superhero TV show of all time (I know many people would argue in favor of Smallville). The show had a tremendous impact on me as a 7 year old child. The show is so much more than just about a guy who turns green and rips his shirt when he gets angry. If that's all that was, the show would not have had such lasting appeal and become a classic. The Incredible Hulk was a mature TV show that appealed to adults as much as to kids, if not more. During its run, it tackled some very serious issues, like alcoholism, child abuse, racism and bigotry. It is still very watchable today, despite some outdated special effects. Hopefully the fact that the complete seasons of the show are now being released on DVD will introduce this great series to a new generation of fans.

Both of these 2-parters are in Season 4, which was just released on DVD last week. The mid-morph one is called Prometheus, and the other hulk (who looked more like a red-neck trucker than a body builder) was called The First.

Enjoy!

The Hulk tv series was on of my favorite as a kid. Thanks for the background on the show. I did wonder about the variation from the comics and the original cartoon but as a kid, who cares? Just wanted to see Banner morph into the Hulk! There was one episode (two parter) where Banner was in mid-morph as a result from being in contact with a meteorite? Not sure, but I thought it was cool for most of the show. Feel free to clue me in as to what season that occured. Also there was an episode where he encountered another man who also transformed into a hulk-like creature. This man was much thinner than Lou Ferrigno but I still thought the fight scene was good. I don't know which season that was either.
