There are some highly questionable movies here (The Producers remake?), but to each their own I suppose… especially since my own list of biographical cinemarkers would probably include Private School, School Ties, and Secretary.

I would have to say very well written. I cannot argue against the movies except I would have thrown in a Paul Giamatti or Philip Seymour Hoffman movie. Keep writing the boys in the sandbox love it.

Great job Paul. Your idea of tracing a stretch of your life through the movies you watched is really interesting and enlightening. Requiem for a Dream had a huge impact on me, too. The first time I saw it was my freshman year at college. I was absolutely floored by this movie. I've seen a lot of depressing movies, like Schindler's List, American History X, and Atonement. But no movie is as depressing as this one. Requiem for a Dream is nothing less than the systematic destruction of hope, and I will never forget it.
