That is your opinion, please don’t ruin it for everyone else. Even worse, put people off the book and stop them experiencing something wonderful, the butterflies people get when danger lurks or the happiness when Harry defeats Voldemort numerous time. I respect your opinion but try the books for yourself and see how exciting it is!!!

Pretty sure the danger is just in Harry’s year cuz well an evil wizard is rising. Besides McGonagall, Flitwick, Sprout are good damn teachers. We don’t even know what Vector, Sinatra, Burbag and the rest are. Besides sounds like fun. And even high school here is like that. You got bullies, nerds, jerks, good kids bad kids. Yeah we usually act how we were raised. So your article here had a lot of holes.

Haha I love the Harry Potter books but I’ve also thought the same freaking conclusion too. Hogwarts has to be the most irresponsibly managed and unsafe school ever!!! Columbine would be a treat compared to Hogwarts IRL!

Harry Potter is a great book series. The students aren’t terrible unless they don’t do their work or do well like in real school. Professors and teachers have different personalities, and just because the Sorting Hat places you in Slytherin doesn’t always mean your “evil” and whatnot, and Gryffindor doesn’t go by if your a super nice person. James Potter got placed in Gryffindor because the Sorting Hat looked deep inside him, his personality and such, not the way he choose to act to students (like Severus Snape). The people who are sent to Hogwarts, being said are witches and wizards, are trained and taught how to properly use spells, not to kill people or “blow things up”. Hogwarts is a wonderful, fasinating school, and there is nothing wrong with a person wanting to dress up as a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff student.

Because other than the intense risk of being betrayed, maimed, killed, or murdered, it does seem pretty sweet.”

Since when do we not have these risk of being betrayed, killed, or murdered in the real world?

And in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (book), a student does ask Hermione why she wasn’t placed in Ravenclaw, considering she very smart, and as Sirius says, “-The brightest witch of your age.” She says because the Sorting Hat put her in Gryffindor.

(I would gladly trade my Math and P.E. class for Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions. I’d love to go to Hogwarts, be placed in Slytherin House, (where I’m put half the time if not Gryffindor) befriend Draco Malfoy, (who really isn’t that bad of a person as people say he is, he was just raised by the wrong people. One of my favorite characters.) ,and play Quidditch.)

I think someone is just upset they didn’t recieve their acception letter.

except that the problems with sunnydale are about location, location, location. The ignorant “muggles” running the school don’t have any clue what’s going on either. It’s just a really unfortunate pattern that you’d hope someone would notice… but the show does talk about people’s amazing ability to rewrite the past so that they don’t have to confront “the truth” about the monsters all around them.

The problems with hogwarts are that everyone there is insane.

Actually I have to disagree, sure Hogwarts has problums, so does every school, I vote Forks High for the worst, why?

1. It's CRAWLING with vampires, worse than that (because they can't be the killing sort) they SPARKLE! A good ray of light could perminantly blinde your child

2. It has Bella Swan there, she's the most danger-prone creature I have EVER seen and simply associating with her may more than likely get you killed or make you throw up (AKA poor Mike Newton)

3. Not only are sparkly vampires there, but they cancontrol your mood? Read your mind? Or go tottally berserk after a pappercut? Uh no

4. Golden onion? Those teachers must be the most unprofessional EVER to allow a rotting onion into the classroom and offer it as a prize

5. So now we have werewolves who don't even attend this school coming out of the wood works beacuse of who? Miss Danger Death herself

6. Kids here can't drive worth a crap, send your kid to Forks is sending them to a hit-and0run case... or maybe that's just Bella... AGAIN

7. Finally and possibly most importantly, who allows their students to miss multiple days of school (sunny ones too) just to go camping? I don't think these teachers care enough

Lol. So true. I knew I didn't like Hogwarts, but never have the reasons been so clear. However, I'm also a little biased, as I don't really like Harry Potter altogether (see your article about 'why you shouldn't balance the fate of man on the shoulders of a kid' if you want to know why). Also, don't listen to the haters Rob, you are by far my favorite reads on FSR.
