Thanks for prefacing your comments about “The Collector” on Reject Radio by saying that you were not going to be spoiling anything, and then proceeding to, well, spoil the final scenes of the movies by giving a far too detailed description of what's going on and what's happening to characters. You suck.

I have to say, i'm a huge fan of the horror genre but this movie actually made me want to vomit. It was actually very entertaining and at times you can't help but stiffle a laugh. But there are times where it doesn't let up.

Nah, I assumed you'd be more creative. Although after the phrase "I do understand with," I'm starting to question your skills.

I get it. The internet is cynical and sad. But I suppose my disclaimer should be:

We didn't take any money for this. It's not an ad.

The Collector is a great movie that I believe in, and I hope does well at the box office. It's something that horror fans should dig, yet it will most likely make less than My Bloody Valentine 3D. Indie films need a little love now and again, too.

But I will let you know when I sell out.

Considering that the 1965 film is about a man who kidnaps a young girl in order to make her love him, putting her up in DIY prison cell, and the 2009 film is about a thief who breaks into a house where a serial killer is already hard at work, I'd hardly call it a re-imagining and definitely not a remake.

They have the same name, but that's about it.

Although I haven't read the book, so I'm not sure what kind of elements are in it. I've seen both movies, and they are worlds apart. The stories are different, the tones are seriously different, and the concepts are even different.

It's a good tip, but my bubble is still very much intact.

I hate to be a bubble burster but this movie is in fact a re-imagined remake of a very good movie from 1965, which in turn was based on a very good book.

I would go see it just for the fact that the picture in Point 6 shows someone picking a lock USING 2 TOOLS! As someone who has some experience in this, (don't ask don't tell), I cringe when they show a character whipping one tool out of their pocket and gaining entrance in 15 seconds flat. It takes two baby. A rake (the saw toothed gizmo pictured) and a torsion wrench (the other).

The premise alone if freaking awesome. I also loved the first Saw, where I felt the gore complimented the film rather than became the focus. It pushed that limit, sure, but it was much better than the crap the further installments were.

Sounds like this is similar.

While I am seeing Funny People tonight, I will definitely not be passing this movie up. After seeing the trailer I thought the premise was very interesting, so it's good to hear it thought so highly of on the site. Sometime this weekend or next week I'll see it. I've also convinced my four of my friends to see it as well. I won't let you down, Dr. Abaius.
