First, thanks for the defense of Ben Affleck. For whatever reason people in my parts seem to hate him for being Ben Affleck. I have to remind them of Shakespear In Love, (Which, for once, did deserve Best Film Oscar.) Boiler Room, Chasing Amy and yes, Good Will Hunting. I will grant there are a lot more bad films than good films, but the good films are really good.

oh, he deserves some points for putting his brother in Gone Baby Gone, which he directed. (Not due to his lack of acting talent, but for directing a good film and intuiting that his brother might give a performance in a film that I understand he originally wanted to star in.)

You only mentioned Actors, but I would have included at least one Actress on this list. That would be Nicole Kidman. She has been in a few good films but far more crappy ones. She is a great Actor but she really needs to pick better roles.

Fishburne's credit in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is pushing it. Yes, he was in it…but as the voice of the bear in a commercial. Props for knowing that, but would I call that a seminal work for him? Nope.

FYI, Bill Nighy has Dupuytren's contracture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dupuytren%27s_cont...) hence the way his hands are.
