I really like both parts, but the second part did seem to lack in the actual grindhouse feel. I really think it is closer to the quality of the first half though. :

why dont you like the second half? maybe because it shows women who are able to take care of themselves and rise above what has been said about women needing a man to protect them? i can see how threatening that would be to someone told that they are better and stronger than girls and are needed to protect.

Nicely written. I’ll grant you that the first half was indeed better than the second. Now that I think about it, it was the second half that made me want to stick a fork in my eyes and gouge out my brain in order to make the pain of watching the film end.
