i remember seeing this film when it came out on the big screen. to say the least, i was impressed. it definitely captured the feeling of that very day, that time in history when hope was vested in one man-- Bobby. on the other hand, i think estevez could have been a little more subtle regarding his POV and the obvious similarities of today; it was a little forced. i work with Ebert & Roeper and they agree saying it has "one of the most eclectic casts of the year." check out what else they have to say about "Bobby" @ http://www.atthemoviestv.com (an extensive archive of full-length, high-production movie reviews). See you in line at the movies!

The L Magazine called it: "all soundtrack and fury, signifying nothing"; very funny, I thought.

Nice allusion to Teddy's eulogy. On a vaguely related note, there was a well-reviewed movie called The Decay of Fiction about the (now-demolished?) Ambassador Hotel, but a DVD may never show up (sigh).

By the way, Bobby Kennedy was killed by a point blank shot to the back of the head, and Sirhan Sirhan was standing several feet in front of him. For whatever it's worth. :)

I thought the movie was better than a C, but I also think that it had to be judged more on the merit of the history it involved. It's hard, but I mean, it's hard to get 22 individuals and go through the story. Good review though!
