Ryan Rubin says:

The best character in the Indiana Jones series is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the evil Nazi monkey trainer. Keepin’ monkeys out of the jungle with Shia since 1936.

Bill Brasky says:

young indy’s fat scout mate or the idiot soldier who got his head chopped off by the first test of the grail

Michael Kelly says:

Shorty. No questions asked. Slick Shoes!

tron says:

the creepy brainwashed child king from temple of doom. if i never have kids its definitely his fault for continuously haunting my dreams. Whenever I close my eyes, all I see is his face and I’m the doll he’s stabbing…..

Zach M. says:

The best character besides Indy? Marcus Brody. He just has the charm that only Denholm Elliot posessed. When he says, “Were I a few years younger, I’d be coming along with you,” I just feel like he was the ultimate badass, concealed underneath his British charm, of course. I feel like he was just like Indy when he was younger, and that makes him so damn cool.

Plus he’s sort of like the father figure that Indy never truly had (until Last Crusade).

D-Rock says:

Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir, he is completely loyal, not only to Indy but to Marcus Brody, trying to help him escape Nazis, and his brother-in-law, making sure to grab him a few camels when he wrecks his car.

On top of this loyalty, the guy is virile, raising NINE children with his wife Fayah!

Theo says:

Dr. Renee Belloq.

A hero is only as good as his villan and Belloq was quite a villan. Like a vulture, he let Indy do all the hard work before he swept in and took the prize. The face-to-face with Indy in Cairo after Indy thought Marion was dead is a classic scene, “I am but a shadowy reflection of you…”

My favorite Belloq moment is when he calls Indy’s bluff and dares him to blow up the Ark. He was the perfect villan for Indy and their rivalry is one of the things that sets the Raiders apart as the best film of the series.

Coops says:

The whip. It is a character unto itself.

Chris Moore says:

Hands down my favorite is Short Round from Temple of Doom.

Hold on, Lady, we going for a ride!!!

Chris says:

I always liked the creepy nazi guy with the wire rimmed glasses from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not only did he melt superbly, but he also creeped the Hell outta me as a kid.

Willem says:

My favorite was always Dr. Jones Sr. (Sean Connery). Not only did I love his devotion to
finding the Grail, but he was comedic, too. My favorite moment of his was when he used his
umbrella to scare the birds. Genius!

Biggity says:

I’m gonna have to go with Lao Che. Although he was only in the film briefly, as a villain, he seemed deliciously evil. I always wanted to know more about his and Indy’s past. And even when it looked like Indy was about to get away he had one more trick up his sleeve. Besides, you get to meet him at Club Obi Wan!

Cole Abaius says:

I’m guessing I’m not eligible for this. I suppose I could quit working for FSR in order to win, right?

Oh, and quite obviously, the best Indy character besides Indy is Henchman #3. The one from Raiders, not the one from Temple.

Cole Abaius says:

Oh, and why is that Steve Martin doll dressed up as Indiana Jones?

Robert Fure says:

Thats a sweet prize pack. I need one of those foam whips, going to have to track that down. I second Marcus Brody as best supporting character.

Jason Reneau says:

Sallah because in the world of Indy he hasn’t the luxury of many friends or I should say friends he can be sure won’t betray him. Sallah is the one you can always count on, he is there for Dr. Jones whenever he needs him, and is truly a great character whom I wish was featured more prominently in the Indy series. He is also in some of the best scenes in Raiders he saves Indy from being poisoned after seeing the dead monkey, and replies with a great line “bad dates”. Then at the end of Crusade after learning that Indy was named after the dog his expression and the line he says thats probably one of my favorite endings to a movie.

Chris says:

Sallah becuse when you need transportation the always has camels.

Navs says:

Easy: Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir
He picked the best movies to be in.

Scott says:

I would have to go with Short Round. He stands out the most in that movie.

Doug says:

For sure Short Round. Shorty stands out more than anyone in Temple of Doom.

Karen says:

Indy’s dad, hands down!

Theresa Shafer says:

Marian. She stands toe to toe with indy and comes out ahead. Only woman for him and he should know it.

Bradley Carver says:

I like Short Round from the “Temple of Doom” movie. He provided great comic relief, and interacted with the other main characters well. His character didn’t seem to be out of place in the film either. Without his funny remarks the film wouldn’t have been whole.

Jana Cox says:

Marian of course…Indy is wise in all areas but women…he should know by now that Marian is his best mate ever.

Joelle Sibley says:

Good or bad, they’re all great characters but since I can choose only one, it’s Short Round.

Carolyn says:

Love Indy ;-) Thanks.

Dwayne says:

Sallah by all means…”bad dates”

Julie Nusbaum says:

Henry Jones Sr., Indy’s dad. How many people do you know that could bring down a bomber with an umbrella?

yoyshen says:

Definitely Shorty.

Megan B. says:

Short Round! No time for love, Dr. Jones!

jennifer bowen says:

wow how cool i like to try and win this thanks

Jennifer says:

Short round from Temple of Doom was one of my favorite characters. He was so funny and really added another comedic element to the film.

Kathy says:

Marcus Brody was a great sidekick for Jones. While bumbling at times he was a loyal friend to Jones throughout the movies.

Richard says:

My favourite character from Indiana Jones saga (apart from Indy) is Henry Jones Sr.

In spite of being (obviously) older than Indiana, he gets off with Dr. Elsa Schneider, this is enviable and makes you think if you could achieve the same at your sixties ;)

Secondly, he was the perfect companion for Indy and also quite funny, remember his repeated quote: “This is intolerable!” - which by the way is said in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -.

And last but not least, he survives a shot thanks to the Holy Grail and should be supposedly immortal, although we’re told he is dead in this last movie.

Barbara McCrea says:

my favorite would have to be professor Henry Jones SR., I have always loved Sean Connery and to have him play Indiana’s father made this even better, they couldn’t have picked a better actor to top it off!

Sharold Friedrich says:

Short Round. What a kid!!

Louis Willhauck says:

Short round… look out NASCAR!

Ken Robinson says:

I like Henry Jones Sr. (Sean Connery) because he still brings the James Bond mystique into every role he plays.

James Whitbord says:

Short Round cause I’m short and round.

Denise Mower says:

I love Indy’s dad….because??? Well he’s Sean Connery….

Kristie Belding says:

The little Chinese kid from Temple of Doom!

Alicia says:

It’s a tough call between Short -Round and Henry Sr.
but I’ll go with Henry Sr.

TanjaT says:

Marian!
Thanks for the giveaway :)

brenda helgeson says:

my favorite was indy’s dad. just a great contrast between the two.

Erica C. says:

Marcus Brody I think would be my fav.

Marilyn Wons says:

Marcus Brody was my favorite Indiana Jones character. He was an absent-minded nice father-like man. I thought him to be so believable.

Susan Smith says:

Short Round from Temple of Doom

Don says:

Indiana Jone’s dad is the best…loved the interaction between father and son on that movie.

Sean Connery as Indy’s father was the bomb! Thank you for this giveaway!

Kelly Jo says:

Sharon Jones says:

The snake scene in the very first one…when he falls in the pit of snakes and says
“I HATE SNAKES”….me, too, Indy…!!!!!

Linda Pinto says:

Henry Jones Sr. because he is funny and yet an inspiration.

Robert Van Brunt says:

My favorite Indy character outside of Indy himself would be Sallah. He provides a good foil for Indy, and he is a very layered character. Sallah can be comic relief yet can be deadly serious when the case warrants. A film franchise or spin-off film could easily be built around Sallah and his own adventures.

Dave R says:

Major Arnold Toht, evil nazi’s rule!

Auriette says:

This is a tough one, because I love all the Indy movies, but I will choose the Flying Wing pilot from “Raiders” for very sentimental reasons. He’s played by producer Frank Marshall, and I got to hang out with him for a while at the WorldCon in Boston in 1989, and he’s a really cool guy. Every time I see that scene now, I say, “Hey, it’s my buddy Frank!” Even my mom recognizes him now.

By the way, to the person who wondered why Henry Jones Sr. died after drinking from the Grail, they say in the movie that the effects only last while you are in the Grail Temple.
