Righteous Kill Giveaway

You think you know the way of the gun? Well you ain’t seen nothin’, my friend. In the next week we are going to be rocking your world with a badass little feature in honor of the upcoming release Righteous Kill, due out on September 12th. We will take you for a walk down the long pier that has been the careers of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, two of cinema’s ultimate gangsters.

But before we get to that, we’ve got to start with a giveaway. Why not, right? We’ve come away with a special prize, and one (1) lucky winner is going to be taking home a prize pack that includes a Righteous Kill movie poster, and a copy of The Godfather, Heat and Scarface on DVD. That’s right, get ready for the De Niro/Pacino tag-team movie with heavy dose of some of their most badass roles. All you have to do is follow a simple set of instructions.

All you have to do is follow the standard drill. Step one is to be a subscriber to our daily email updates, powered by Feedburner. It is the one daily email to rule them all — all the best of the Rejects right in your inbox. The second is that you must answer a question in the comment area at the bottom of the page. But before I get to that, I have a few more rules: You must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada in order to win, you must enter prior to September 12th and you must be awesome — which all of our readers are, so that should be the easy part. And now, the question:

What is your favorite character played by Al Pacino or Robert De Niro?

  • Al Pacino - Satan (from 'The Devil's Advocate')
Robert De Niro - Satan (from 'Cape Fear')
  • This might sound lame to some, but my favorite would be Big Boy in Dick Tracy, played by Al Pacino.

"You get behind me, we all profit; you challenge me, we all go down! There was one Napoleon, one Washington, one me! "
  • Alex Hedlund
    De Niro - Raging Bull
Pacino - (tie) Heat or Dog Day Afternoon
  • Phoghat
De Nro's Vito Corleone in GodfatherII

Pacino in Godfather I and II
  • Cody
De Niro as Jake La Motta In "Raging Bull" is incredible. What a masterpiece.
  • I know people will cry cop out, but three-way ties for both.

De Niro: Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Casino

Pacino: Dog Day Afternoon, Godfather Part II, Heat
  • Al Pacino hasn't been good for like 15 years. Matter of fact, make it 20 and De Niro hasn't been good for like 10 years. I'm just waiting for Pacino to co-star in a Meet the Fockers movie.
  • D-Rock
De Niro - Johnny Boy in Mean Streets
Pacino - Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman
  • Theo
Since I'm convinced there are 2 Al Pacino's, I've got two choices for him:

Classic Al - Michael Corleone (Godfaterh 1&2)
Modern Over-the-top Al - Vincent Hannah (Heat) - one of the few films where it works

Robert DeNiro - It's hard to argue with his take as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull, probably his best performance. But my personal favorite has to be Jimmy "The Gent" Conway from Goodfellas.
  • Big Word
Pacino is easy as there are but two roles he played to the hilt of effectiveness and cool disregard: The Don Corleone (G & G2 ...G3 he's got the funny line that cracks The Sopranos up but that movie didn't do the franchise justice) & Satan (Devil's Advocate). With Bobby D ....kinda tough, but I felt he should of won an Oscar for his role in Casino & I LOVED his father role in A Bronx Tale.
