Win Devious Prizes from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia!

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on September 2, 2008

Alright, so maybe devious isn’t the best word for a few t-shirts and a poster, but what else can you really say about the hit FX comedy “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”? The show’s devious nature has captivated audiences on a level that wasn’t even expected by its three creators, who are pictured above. And just as the gang gears up for their fourth season, we’ve got a chance for you to win one of a few sweet little prizes.

One (1) lucky grand prize winner will take home an “It’s Always Sunny” season 4 poster and an “Always Sunny” branded t-shirt. Three (3) other first prize winners will each score a t-shirt.

All you have to do is follow the standard drill. Step one is to be a subscriber to our daily email updates, powered by Feedburner. The second is that you must answer a question in the comment area at the bottom of the page. But before I get to that, I have a few more rules: You must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada in order to win, you must enter prior to September 12th and you must be awesome — which all of our readers are, so that should be the easy part. And now, the question:

The “Always Sunny” gang has taken on North Korea, dumpster babies, the mob and serial killers in their first three seasons. What kind of topics would you suggest for season 4?

I would love to see the gang try to break into the film business. The gang is always up for something that will make them rich and famous...and rich. And they're stupid enough to think they could make a profitable movie on their own. Frank would of course be the director and producer. Dennis would star due to his good looks and those pecs he's so proud of. Dee would be pissed she isn't the star since she once wanted to be an actress and the gang considers Dennis to be better looking than she. Charlie would continue to do "Charlie work" in the grip/electric department. Someone will get hurt due to his incompetence. Mac...he would most likely have written the script and would co-star. He would feel passionately about his script, but Frank would change everything because that's "what producers/directors do." For example, Frank is influenced by Brokeback Mountain's Oscar nominations and makes Dennis and Mac's characters gay. This is right along the lines of Tropic Thunder's commentary, but I think there is more to say about Hollywood, and the It's Always Sunny Guys are just the right people to say it.

Prostitution, and by prostitution, I mean Charlie becomes a gigolo.

I would like to see an episode where one of the guys gets arrested for a crime (robbery, murder or anything really) I just think an episode where their in court would be really funny even better would be having one of the gang impersonating a lawyer.

I think the gang should parody television and try to write their own sitcom.
  • George
They should take on global warming and office etiquette.
  • Jay Goz
They should take on high gas prices, by helping a friend that huffs gas quit huffing. Then they should run for city council after they loss their liquor license.
  • Tracey Byram
Take on obsessive compulsive disorder. That ought to be a hoot.

@D-Rock - prostitution was covered in "the gang gets whacked", but it was Dennis that became the gigolo, with Frank as his pimp.
  • I think they should cover marijuana, they have covered uppers a few times but to my knowledge have never gone into pot.
