Indiana Jones Trilogy Giveaway

Raiders of the Lost Ark. Temple of Doom. The Last Crusade.

These were the predecessors to the upcoming summer blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Released over two decades ago, these three films introduced us to an adventurer who would become on of the most iconic and well-known heroes the world has ever known, Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones, Jr.

And now, to celebrate Indy’s return to the big screen, we have decided to bring you an entire week of Indiana Jones mania. This includes our Guide to Indiana Jones as well as an entire week of cool articles to help you get excited about the big event on May 22nd. And what would a big FSR feature be without some sort of giveaway, right?

With that in mind, we executed a ninja squad attack that has yielded three (3) copies of the recently re-released DVD set Indiana Jones: The Adventure Collection that we can now give away to three of our favorite readers. And by favorite readers, we mean anyone who subscribes to our daily email updates via the form below and drops a comment in the Sound Off section at the bottom of the page. Tell us why you’d like to win by giving us your favorite Indiana Jones moment. For some of our favorite moments, check out our Ten Most Memorable Indiana Jones Moments article.

Enter your email address:

Already a subscriber? Don’t worry, as you are already automatically entered (as long as you leave your favorite Indy moment in the Sound Off section, that is). In fact, by subscribing above you will be automatically entered into any future contests and giveaways of this kind on Film School Rejects. How does that sound? Good…

Great contest guys! My favorite scene has to be when Jones throws the Nazi out of the zeppelin in Last Crusade. Not only is “No Ticket!” one of his best lines, but when everyone else, who likely didn’t speak German, as they were from Germany, pulled out their ticket, it was priceless.

Brandon W says:

I’m a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies, and - I’m not trying to be a suck-up here - a even bigger fan of FSR!!!!! Great site guys & gals.

john says:

I think the best Indy moments were the “no ticket” or the “rope bridge”. Those type of moments made Indian Jones for me. Action mixed with humor perfectly executed together and thats what I hope they have in the next installment. As for the reason I should win the movies: I only have the VHS version of the Indy trilogy and no VHS player to watch them on : (

Brandon W says:

I’m a big fan of the Indiana Jones films, but - and I’m trying to suck -up - a bigger fan of FSR. Keep it up, guys and gals!!!!

Mitch says:

While it may not be completely original, my favorite moment comes from The Last Crusade.

Just as Indy rescues his father, they’re cornered by Nazis. As his father berates him for allowing his diary to fall into enemy hands, Indy finally snaps. He grabs one of the soldier’s machine guns and mows them down before they can blink. As their bodies hit the floor, he turns to his father and shouts “I *TOLD* You DON’T call me junior!”

In fact, my friend and I got in trouble for re-creating that scene on the playground in 3rd grade. 100% kickass.

Alex weis says:

my favorite indiana jones moment was when he throws one of the nazis out of the window
of the blimp and says “no ticket”

Robert Fure says:

One of my favorites is in Raiders of the Lost Ark when the girl in his class closes her eyes and it says “Love” and “You” on her eyelids. Now that is a real fine woman right there!

Robert Taylor says:

Oh yay! I totally want to win this, I am the biggest Indyfan and the first commenter!!! :D

Glen F says:

My favorite Indy moment is probably when Indy and his dad are tied together on the chair and light the room on fire. good stuff.

Donny says:

Of course like the rest of the planet I have been re-watching all of the Indiana Movies and my favorite is still Last Crusade. But the best part of the Indy series for me will be “No Time For Love Dr. Jones!”-Short Round.

That has always made me laugh.

daniel herrera says:

i want the dvd’s !!! i love part 2 i think im the only one !!!

wavesmash says:

I’ll take one please!

Sylana says:

I like the airplane scene in Last Crusade where Henry Sr. accidentally shoots the tail off.

Spencer Heath says:

Oh man. The part in Raiders when Indy swims from the boat to the Nazi U-boat is
priceless. All the crew (including the captain, who wears an incredulous “Damn, he’s good”
expression on his face) cheers for him as he climbs triumphantly aboard, underscored by
John Williams amazing theme music. What an awesome sequence.

Oh, and also the part where the fly crawls into Belloq’s mouth as he’s talking to Indy. That’s
a pretty priceless film flub.

Mike D says:

My favorite moment would have to be FSR’s number one moment as well. When Indy just shoots the swordsman in Raiders.

Ron Steffens says:

It’s cliche; but definitely the opening scene of Raiders.

Wes R says:

I still like the drinking scene in the first film. Karen Allen drinking the big guy under the table and her back and forth with Jones.

Just Matt says:

Feast scene in Temple of Doom. Chilled Monkey Brains? Classic.

Willem says:

I know my favorite Indiana Jones moment is when the Jones boys (Sr. and Jr.) are heading
for the boats, but instead of getting in, they send it off empty and after the Nazis get in a
boat to follow, they burst out on the motorcycle and sidecar.

Theresa Shafer says:

Poor Ford had a bad tummy, so he just shot the big sword guy. So perfect. So Very Funny. I laugh just thinking about it.

Looking forward to re-watching this series.

Thank you

Jeffrey Blais says:

All the Indiana Jones movies are great. I am so happy that they finally decided to continue the story and I can’t wait for it to be released!!

Jason Reneau says:

My favorite scene is in The Last Crusade when Indy faces the last challenge and has to choose the true Holy Grail, but the guy that goes first thinks his got the right one and drinks from it and turns into a skeleton right before our eyes, that and the face melting scene from Raiders were pretty kick ass.

Chris S. says:

Hands down the best part is when Indy and his dad both figure out they got with the same chick and then his dad goes “she talks in her sleep”. That would be awkward

i can has cheeseburger, err…. dvd plz

Christian Brothers says:

My Wife would just Love this!

Jerome K. says:

My favorite Indiana Jones moments weren’t just scenes from the films, but the experiences of the films themselves.

Some of my oldest memories are centered around Indiana Jones. I was a little young to see Raiders in the theater (I was three days shy of 2 years old when it came out.) I do remember watching it before Temple came out, and instantly fell in love with the movie. It was less than a month before my fifth birthday when Temple came out and I remember waiting in line at the mall for hours, but it was probably the excitement making the wait seem interminable.

Needless to say, when Crusade came out, my family piled into the car once again. This time I was just shy of ten years, but felt the same excitement as when I was half that age. Crusade was probably my favorite of the three, but it’s hard to not give the title to Raiders…. Then again, Temple was pretty good…. Who am I kidding? Why pick a favorite; they’re all great!

When I heard that The Last Crusade (thankfully) wouldn’t be the last, I was excited once again, but guarded. I didn’t want to get my hopes up and possibly have my cherished memories of the first three tarnished. Now that I’m days away from seeing it, I’m glad to say that even at 28, I feel that same sense of excitement building up that I had as a kid every time I see a trailer for the fourth installment. Unfortunately as an adult, I can’t just drop everything and see an advanced screening at midnight and my siblings are too spread out to get the whole family together, but I will be driving out to my parent’s house to pile into the car once again (this time behind the wheel) and carry on the tradition!

A toast to the things that remind us of the innocence and excitement of childhood. Long live Indy; let’s hope that sip he took from the grail lets him live on for at least four more movies!

matt says:

Chilled Monkey Brains! I will never forget that!

Jon says:

Zeppelin + “No Ticket” = Win :D

Zap Rowsdower says:

The best Indiana Jones moment is “Nice try, Lao Che!” *Closes door to “Lao Che Air Freight”*

CaelenVasius says:

I was at first a mediocre fan of Indy but I’ve fell in love with it, and to my joy, a set is being produced! To commemorate it, I’ve arranged a marching band stand tune of the Raider’s March for my Alma Mater, Cathedral City High School.

Abel Estrada says:

My favorite scene without a doubt is when the black swordsman pops up ready to face Indy, and Indy drops him with one shot. Indy continues on with his business like if nothing ever happened.

Judith Musick says:

awesome set! no ticket , on the blimp, one of funnniest, but extremely hard to pick just one- or even one dozen!!

Cory Ray says:

As someone who has grown up w/ Indy, literally wearing out 2 copies of each film on VHS, writing out the scrips in high school whenever class was boring, and to this day still caries the dvd copies at the front of my dvd binder where ever I travel; I would have to say one of my favorite parts is when Indy delivers a line that I like to believe that I follow my life by…

In Raiders, after finding and promptly loosing the Ark; Indy saves Marion and finds Sallah. Who then informs him that the Ark is being loaded, and taken in the trucks heading for Cairo (yes I know I skipped scenes) , and inquires “How?” he will get it back; Indy simply replies:

- “I don’t know I’m making this up as I go”

that sentence defines the man, as always, he figures out what he can, and after that he just jumps into whatever situation, knowing that he’ll figure some way out w/ his strength, intelligence and perseverance…

cynthia mccoy says:

when they have to eat the monkey eyeballs!

Jillian says:

Face Melting!

Jesse Del Valle says:

Have never really seen all the movies, but know they’re great!!!Harrison never made a bad movie…would love to win

Chris says:

It’s all about Indy threatening to blow up the Ark scene for me. When Belloq gives Indy the opportunity, Ford’s acting really sells the struggle he’s facing. Do it, or don’t. Finally, he realizes he can’t, and the way Ford just looks so defeated… amazing bit of acting.

Plus, that all leads up to melting nazis. So that’s also a definite plus.

Denyse says:

Noone is cooler then Harrison!

Barbara Baker says:

I love when he trys to leave the temple and everything starts falling, rolling and everything else…as he’s trying to escape (once again)… he sure gets himself in a bit of a frenzy throughout the whole movie; it’s really tough to think of my absolute favorite.

Theo says:

I have been re-watching the movies in anticipation of Crystal Skull and can’t wait. So many moments to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one…

I’ll go with one of my personal favorites that hasn’t been mentioned here yet:

The action scene after crash landing their escape plane from the Zepplin in Last Crusade. First there’s a great exchange:

Sr. - Those people are trying to kill us.

Indy - I know Dad!

Sr. - This is a new experience for me.

Indy - It happens to me all the time…

Hilarious, a great mini break in the action, and a great snapshot of the Jones’ relationship. Then it ends with Sr. one-upping Indy by sending the gulls into the Nazi fighter.

Audrey Greenberg says:

Great movies in the old time fashion of adventure.

Natalia D. says:

Agree with some of the posts… chilled monkey brains is SOMETHING!

Sheila C. says:

WOW how can I pick a favorite scene … there are too many! I love the running gag of “It had to be … [snakes] [rats] [etc] … priceless! I also love the scene where Marion asks indy where it hurts and then kisses the spot and he keeps finding more spots that hurt lol … and the scene where the guy comes out all badass with the sword, like he’s the best most ultimate swordsman in the world and he’s gonna PWN Indy’s face and Indy gives him that withering look and just hauls off and drops him with one shot! Loved Sean Connery as Indy’s dad … terrific casting!

I want my…
I want my …
I want my d -v- deeee -ee

Sami Al-Qaisi says:

No time for love Doctor Jones!!!

LInda Moeller says:

Love INDY!!!!

Michelle L. says:

Love the rope bridge scene. Good special effects for its time.

Larkin Ferguson says:

my favorite scene is in the first movie in the first 10 minutes. indy has just dismissed his class and as the students file out of the room, one boy puts a freshly polished apple on indy’s desk. the boy is so sheepish….it could have been me!

Victor V. says:

My favorite scene was the shooting of the swordsman from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Chris says:

Is it against the rules if I change my vote for my favorite Indy moment as it being the inspiration to the beginning of the film “UHF”? :D

Dennis says:

I love how in the Temple of Doom the little Asian kid from the Goonies (I know Goonies comes after) burns like everyone he sees with a torch.

Clifton Wade says:

My disabled wife of more than 38 years just LOVES the Indiana Jones movies. Thanks for this great contest!

Debra Bashford says:

Wow, hard to pick a favourite. I am an a huge Indie fan and so thrilled that there is a 4th. I have to say that the No Ticket blimp scene was one of my favs.
On a side note FSR rocks. Thanks for all your hard work.

mike kittle says:

It has to be the giant boulder that Indy is running from. It’s an iconic moment that has been copied in many other movies and tv shows, even Full House spoofed it once. I’m excited for the new movie, and every moment from the previous three movies are memorable to me, so it was hard to choose. The boulder has to take the cake for me though.

Megan B. says:

My favorite Indiana Jones moment was in The Last Crusade when Indiana is shown the difference between how the Austrians and the Germans say goodbye. The dialogue between him and his father in that scene is classic.

Alicia says:

I think my favorite scene is when the Nazis come into the room
and say “Dr. Jones”, then both Indy and Henry Sr. say “Yes”.

Kathleen S. says:

I grew up loving these movies. To me, one of the funniest moments is when we find out that Indy isn’t even his name, it was the DOG’s name. Sean Connery was so perfect in that role. That always cracked me up. I now have a big yellow lab named “Indy” because of that line in the movie!

Michael says:

I love the kid from the Goonies in this film. I love every adventure movie from the 80’s. Especially Indiana Jones! count me in! Thanks!

judy brittle says:

its hard to pick one because so many were great. all i know is i would love this and please count me in.

Angela T. says:

What an awesome giveaway! Please include me! It would be nice to see these movies again after so many years & introduce my kids to them…Thanks!

Michael K. says:

As always another great giveaway from the site. It would be great to win this set since I just introduced these films to my gf and a bunch of family members and friends so we can all enjoy “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” when it premieres.

My favorite scene would have to be the Truck chase from “Raiders” I just love the suspense of the scene especially when he gets thrown in front of the truck, goes under and right behind it thanks to his trusty whip and then finally makes his way back to the drivers seat to take back the ark. I especially love the part when he tries to run Belloq and company over, simply classic!

Keep up the great work!

Joan Greaton says:

What is really great, I enjoyed these movies very much when they originally came out. And now, it’s pretty great to see my kids enjoying them as well.

My fav. scene which is kind of cheezy but I am a woman, was in part 2, when they land in the rapids in the raft, and Willy says to Indy, “I hate the water, hate being wet, and I hate you”. But I liked so much, I didn’t know what to choose.

In the midst of escaping from Nazis, things blowing up, etc, Indy exclaims “Jesus, Dad!” and Dad slaps him. “That’s for blasphemy!” Once a Dad, always a Dad!

The giant rolling boulder coming at Indy in the first mnutes of the first film is seismic!

Joy Venters says:

Sean and Harrison - great together

Terre Neesham says:

Love all of the movies, favorite part is when the is that one with all the bugs, every time I watch it I get the creepy crawlies.

Sarah Lehan says:

Raiders is still my all time favorite movie. I wore out 2 VHS tapes of it. I can (when watching it alone) recite all the lines. I do try to control myself when watching it with others. The running gag of snakes is funny each time. I would love to have this set because you can’t wear out a DVD like you can VHS. Thanks for the contest.

Sari says:

I love the very beginning of Raiders of the Lost Arc. Seeing young Alfred Molina is great. Plus those scenes set the series off to a nice, exciting start and really capture what Indiana Jones is all about.

Tracey C says:

My favorite part is in Raiders of the lost ark when Indiana says to marion ” It’s not the years, honey, it’s the mileage” Love that line. One of my all time favorites.

Anne says:

My favourite moment of all the Indian Jones movies, had to be when the dude was doing his knife work, ready to put on a show and have a good fight when Indiana pulls out his gun and shoots him LOLOL classic!! I know you didn’t ask, but my least favourite was the pit of snakes, OMG, when I watched that years ago, I didn’t stop having nightmares for months!!

Great giveaway! My husband and I would really appreciate this!

Navs says:

Who wouldn’t want this?

aBookworm says:

My fave moment is in the third one. Indy and his dad are escaping the Nazis on a motorcycle. Indy unseats a chasing Nazi like a Knight of the olden days using a flag pole. He turns triumphantly to look at this dad in the sidecar and Connery gives him this disappointed look. Indy can’t believe it! He turns to look at Connery again and then gets this mulish look on his face. That’s priceless!! I fall off laughing everytime I see that bit.

And who can forget that bit when Sallah says ‘you’re named after the DOG?!!!”. LOL

Karen says:

Wow, it’s tough coming up with most favorite moment…I love the boulder scene because it was so exciting, the bantering between Indy & different characters; the special effects that were so incredible for the time they were done. I guess I’d have to pick scenes with Sean Connery because we see Indy as more than just an adventurer. We see him as someone’s kid who, no matter how old he gets or how many bad guys he’s defeated, goes back to kid status as soon as the parent is around.

Mike Weisberg says:

i would like to win

David Hollingsworth says:

My favorite scene in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is the climax, where the Nazis finally open the ark, then their faces melt and their heads explode. It was kind of an avant-garde moment that still isn’t exactly PG-rated, but it all worked out at the end.

Ilicia R. says:

Principal SS Officer at Castle: [the Nazis burst into the room] Dr. Jones?
Professor Henry Jones, Indiana Jones: Yes?
Principal SS Officer at Castle: I will take zuh book now.
Professor Henry Jones, Indiana Jones: Wuh-what b-book?
Principal SS Officer at Castle: You have zuh diary in your pocket.
Professor Henry Jones: You dolt! You think my son would be that stupid? That he would bring my diary all the way back here?
[pause]
Professor Henry Jones: You didn’t, did you?
[another pause]
Professor Henry Jones: You didn’t bring it, did you?
Indiana Jones: Well, uh…
Professor Henry Jones: You *did*!
Indiana Jones: Look, can we discuss this later?
Professor Henry Jones: I should have mailed it to the Marx Brothers!
Indiana Jones: Will you take it easy?
Professor Henry Jones: Take it easy? Why do you think I sent it home in the first place? So it wouldn’t fall into their hands!
Indiana Jones: I came here to SAVE you!
Professor Henry Jones: Oh, yeah? And who’s gonna come to save you, JUNIOR?
Indiana Jones: [shouts] I *told* you…
Indiana Jones: [grabs a gun and shoots all soldiers dead]
Indiana Jones: …DON’T call me Junior!
Professor Henry Jones: Look what you did! I can’t *believe* what you did!
