I loved him in: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The chemistry between him and Redford was electric. I remember watching an interview Redford was doing of Newman at Newman’s house a few years back, and it was the funniest thing I had ever seen! You could see the mutual respect that they had for each other, and why they were friends to the end. I believe we have lost a true humanitarian, excellent
actor, and a friend for all mankind. Paul Newman you will be greatly missed

I saw Paul Newman in the audience at a New York play. There was more interest in him than the show. My favorite role of his was Henry Gondorff in “The Sting”. The fun he had in the poker game on the train is classic.

I loved his character of Max Roby in Empire Falls. He just melts into that character, so different from who he is as a person and you’re just so carried away by his performance.

I loved Newman as Gen. Leslie Groves in Fat Man and Little Boy because the General is a powerful figure at a turning point in the war and Newman is outstanding in the role.
