One of the best coming-of-middle-age films that you can find, The Savages, drew in two well deserved Oscar nominations. Now you, our loyal readers, have a chance to pick it up for free on DVD.
Our own Josh Radde gave this one an A- back in October. Nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Josh made a bold statement about the film’s writing : “Tamara Jenkins has crafted a modern-day masterpiece as far as screenplays are concerned. Every scene is layered with character detail and she really takes her time telling this simple story.”
