As you know, we love caption contests around here — they allow you the opportunity to entertain us with your witticisms, rather than us entertaining you. Which we do, you can admit it.

This week’s Caption This is focused on two recent DVD/Blu-ray releases from the folks at Summit Entertainment: the Nic Cage led apocalyptic drama Knowing and the Chris Evans/Dakota Fanning led telekinesis hero story Push. In celebration of their release this week on Blu-ray, we’ve received a few copies to give away to our most creative readers.

Two (2) lucky winners will receive both Knowing and Push on Blu-ray. All you have to do is hit up our comment area below and delight us with a caption for the following photo:

In order to win, you must (a) have a Blu-ray player — please don’t enter if you don’t, out of fairness, (b) be a legal resident of the United States or Canada and (c) be over the age of 18. You must also, as I explained above, delight us with some sweet captionology.

Winners will be chosen on July 15, 2009.

BYRNE: Where's your mullet for this movie, Nic?

CAGE: It says right here in my contract that a freaky-ass hair do isn't required in this particular sci-fi film.

BYRNE: Too bad you didn't have that clause in your Bangkok Dangerous paperwork, man.

    What is it Nic?

Nic: It's a letter from my mother... Dad is fine she writes but still hasn't fully recovered after seeing me in Ghost Rider.

Nic: How was I to know what would happen?!? I mean, he saw Deadfall! He knew my range of acting. He knew what powers I possessed.

Nic: My acting is like a high pitch sound you can't hear or a gust of wind you can't see... watch to much and you get burned.

*I don't have Blu-ray but I wanted to play anyways.
  • BYRNE: What happens when the numbers run out?
CAGE: I make a Bangkok Dangerous/Ghost Rider crossover.
    BYRNE: ... The Apocalypse.
    Cage: Exactly.

*no blue ray... Just saw that.
  • "Book of secrets my ass. It's more like a page."

Nic: I don't think I can read this. It looks like I need some device to sort out the useful information.

    Rose: Like what?

Nic: I don't know, maybe some weird paranormal glasses.

Rose: Oh, that sounds useful, you don't think we will need them later and they will become annoying to have to use at every obstacle do you?

    Nic: Probably.
  • It is that big, see I traced on these two pieces of paper.
