Once again, here I stand on the edge of all things cool and new and awesome. I firmly believe that I am the only person alive who has not had time to watch HBO’s hit series Eastbound and Down. Luckily, there is DVR. For the rest of you, there will be season 2.

Dollhouse is not in trouble, at least not yet. Though ratings were disappointingly low, the Friday night timeslot is doing it no favors and perhaps Fox will understand that and be merciful when it comes time to dole out contracts for next year. However, in the interest of keeping interest in Joss Whedon’s newest creation alive and well, it’s time for them to crank out a bit of internet buzz and get the ball rolling a little faster down the hill of audience grabbing. What all this means? Start spreading the word, Dollhouse is on TV and worth watching.
The basic premise features a secret organization which hires out their “dolls” as programmable people, with personalities, memories and physical abilities all selectable. Once their mission is complete, they return to their “Dollhouse” where their memories are wiped leaving them with no recollection of what just happened. Unfortunately, something is wrong with the system, and one of the dolls will begin to remember parts of her various lives. Meanwhile, one very determined FBI agent is desperately hunting the dollhouse, seemingly seeking one of its dolls.
Admittedly, last week’s episode was not as strong as it could have been, but have a little faith (no pun intended). Admit it, the premise does sound pretty damned interesting.
