Turn on Your ‘Sex Drive’ at a Free Screening with FSR!

Summit Entertainment’s Sex Drive is rolling into Columbus, Ohio, for an advance screening. Here at FSR, we have gotten our horny little hands on some passes to the film. You can join in the fun and get a chance to see this raunchy comedy more than a month before it’s released in the theaters. Sex Drive is about a high school senior who embarks on a cross country trip to hook up with a girl he met on the Internet. We can all relate, can’t we?

The screening will take place at the following time and place:

How much does Rainn Wilson rock? You can find out if you live in or around Columbus, Ohio. We have secured some all-access passes to an advance screening of Fox Atomic’s new comedy The Rocker. Check out Rainn Wilson’s story of a middle-aged loser who was dropped from the biggest rock band on the planet… right before they blew up. He’s in his late 30s, and it’s time for payback.

The gang at Film School Rejects has gotten our paws on tickets to the top secret screening of 20th Century Fox’s The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Now’s your chance to see the movie for free, before it’s realeased in the theaters.

Columbus Rejects! See the Dark Knight Discussion Panel at the Landmark Gateway

The 4th of July may have been America’s official holiday for the month, but fanboys around the country will also be celebrating the 18th of July – the release of the ridiculously anticipated film The Dark Knight.

Even though IMAX showing around the country are sold out for the midnight shows, there are still plenty of seats available for standard projection.

The Landmark Gateway Theatre in Columbus, Ohio will feature a special panel discussion prior to the midnight showing of The Dark Knight on Thursday, July 17. Resident Fat Guy and Film School Reject Kevin Carr will be one of the guests on the panel.

Kevin will be joined by DC Comics writer Sean McKeever, as well as Jason Faught and Shannon Kimble from the Laughing Ogre Comic Shop.

The panel will be discussing the current crop of superhero and comic-book-related films. How is the industry doing with movies like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock and Wanted? What has worked so far, and what hasn’t? What can we look forward to in the future?

Panel discussion will begin in House #1 around 10:30 p.m. and run for about an hour.

If you’re in the Columbus area on the evening of July 17th, come to the Landmark Gateway Theatre to see the midnight show of The Dark Knight and join in a spirited panel discussion of comic book movies.

The Bat-Pod in Cincinnati, Ohio — We’ve Got Pictures

Avid FSR reader and fellow Ohioan Seann sent in a report last night from the appearance of the Bat-Pod in Cincinnati, Ohio. We were going to send Kevin Carr to go see it, but we decided to let him have the weekend off instead. Thankfully Seann was there and he took some pictures. Have a look below at a few shots:

Seann also sent over some fun facts that he learned about the Bat-Pod during the visit:

This Bat-Pod is the one they used for a bulk of filming in TDK.
Top speed is 110 mph.
There is a total of six made.
Nathan Crowley is responsible for the design.

As for The Dark Knight, it hits theaters in standard and IMAX on July 18th. The Dark Knight’s Bat-Pod and Tumbler Go On Tour

It is very rare that fans get a chance to get very close to a big prop from a big summer movie such as The Dark Knight, but then again life does often lend itself to surprises. As you can see from the photo of my chubby ass above, the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod from the upcoming Batman flick were hanging around outside of my hotel in Los Angeles over the weekend, as press from all over the world came to town to get their fill of the adventure.

But while something like this would normally be lost on a bunch of industry pros who are no longer excited about Batman’s wheels, it appears that Warner Bros. wants to bring these kick-ass rides to a city near you, or at least a few cities that aren’t L.A. and NYC. It was announced today that both the Bat-Pod and the Tumbler (with was featured in Batman Begins as well) will be traveling to the following cities across the United States before ending up back in Los Angeles the week of release for the big, star-studded premiere:

Denver
St. Louis
Cleveland (July 6)
Kansas City
Cincinnati (July 5)
Washington, DC
Philadelphia
Boston
Toronto
Niagara Falls, NY
New York City
Chicago

We will, of course, update you with all of the relevant information as it becomes available. What we do know is that on July 5 the display will be at Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio from 12:00om to 2:00pm and then be transported to the Showcase Cinema de Lux & IMAX in Springdale, Ohio and be on display from 3:30pm to 5:30pm that afternoon.

For Clevelanders, the good will be on display at the Cinemark Valley View on Sunday July 6 from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

This is one of those once in a lifetime events that I would highly recommend checking out, as both the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod are pretty damn cool. I know — I hung out with them all weekend.

Yes, you read that right. And now for the details. If you live in or around Columbus, Ohio and you are someone who loves movies where bullets are flying all over the place, then you are in luck. We have put together an awesome chance for all of our Columbus readers to see the upcoming Universal action flick Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy, before it comes out.

Make Believe Not War w/ FSR and Son of Rambow!

Columbus, Ohio Rejects, listen up. We’ve got an awesome opportunity for you to see one of the year’s most anticipated indie comedies, Son of Rambow. It is a film that has gathered critical praise all over the place, including being one of the most buzzed films of the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and the 2007 Toronto Film Festival. Our good friend Peter Sciretta at Slashfilm said of it, “This is a film that I am sure everyone will love.”

And not only can you see the movie for free (if you follow the simple instructions below) but you might just get a chance to meet FSR’s Neil Miller and Kevin Carr, who will be at the screening handing out free “Make Believe Not War” T-Shirts from the film and Son of Rambow posters!
