A masked vigilante is terrorizing the city, and Aint It Cool has gotten some wonderful (if not slightly blurry) photos of the culprit. Plus, TMZ even has video of the guy doing a flip into a moving vehicle. Prepare for the inundation of Spider-Man stuff. The first official picture of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker opened a flood gate that has people asking about manual spider webs and hunting down the set to take pictures and video. In a way, it feels like the good old days. Folks passionate about movies are snapping off unauthorized content and sending it in to their favorite movie sites (and TMZ). The nostalgia is palpable. So is the blue and red spandex.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see every single picture from Drive Angry because I’ve seen the movie, and it’s about as fun a ride as you can imagine. The 3D is gimmicky and wonderful, the story is on a hellbent mission, and William Fichtner creates a character that will live forever as an icon. He, however, is not the main focus of these new pics from the movie. That focus happens to be Amber Heard in Daisy Dukes. The marketers know what they’re doing. Enjoy the new pics intermingled with some old favorites:

My Idiot Brother will premiere at Sundance later this month, bringing its sunny disposition to the cold of Utah. The movie features Paul Rudd as the eternal optimist with an uncanny beard-growing ability who springs back into the lives of his three sisters – played by Emily Mortimer, Elizabeth Banks, and Zooey Deschanel. There are 9 new images from the film which mostly show off the hippie rug covering Rudd’s face, as well as the strong, aforementioned talent pool playing his siblings.

Behind the Walls has an important claim to fame: it’s the first ever live-action French movie filmed in 3D. That’s a lot like being the first ever Polish high jumper to clear 10 feet on a sunny day when the wind was blowing easterly, but it’s a claim to fame nonetheless. Perhaps this new concept art (especially the giant rat) will help that fame along. Of course, having international super model Laetitia Casta doesn’t hurt either. The film focuses on a woman who sequesters herself in order to write a novel who finds a sealed room in the house and begins having nightmarish hallucinations. Basically, it’s the plot from I Spit on Your Grave without the rape. Check out the beautiful concept art for yourself:

The trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides doesn’t debut until Monday, but a little birdie dropped six images from the new film into my email box. How the bird got into the internet in the first place, I have no idea, and I won’t listen to any calls from PETA about it. If you’re anticipating the film with your own hand-made countdown calendar, these pics might be just the thing to salve your soul. If you’re just bored on a Thursday, you can play an endless game of peek-a-boo with Captain Jack Sparrow thanks to one of them. Enjoy!

Is there any film more highly anticipated than the new Judge Dredd? Yes. There are many. However, it’s the only film out there that has the best chance of righting a wrong from the past. It’s a rare instance of a remake (or reboot or re-adaptation or re-envisioning) that people are supporting outright because of its redneck past. Fortunately, some new set photos have popped up, and they display a deserted Mega City One and its variety of snack options, dog catching vehicles and convenient INGSOC signage. If you see a visor-headed shadow spying on you while checking these out, run for your damned life.

Few people can capture the human soul inside soft fabric puppets in photography. Your cousin that keeps trying in his basement can’t, but apparently the on-set photographer for The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made definitely can. These photos are so haunting that it also makes you forget that Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt have both been announced as cameo figures for the film. Fingers crossed for a Gervais/Rizzo duet. Check out the pictures below.

Jessica Alba never got to appear in one of the X-Men movies because she was too busy being invisible and making fun of Ben Grimm. Lucky for her, she gets to don a black jumpsuit for Spy Kids 4. This may not sound like news, unless you’re really into costuming, but once you see there are pictures involved, you’ll really realize that it’s not news. Also, is the joke about X-Men a comment about Spy Kids 4 being unoriginal or is it a comment about how generic those black jumpsuits are? You be the judge. We’ll mail you the powdered wig. Enjoy:

These are just gorgeous. It’s amazing when the art of film advertising seeks to design something that will carry the tone of the film correctly while actually aiming for a bit of artistic merit. These new character posters for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 may be simple, and the name may be unusually long, but the effect is strong. The latest film (and beginning of the end) boasts the usual suspects all returning with the addition of Bill Nighy to what amounts to a roster of the best British actors in the business. Expect even more promotional materials, because after the Summer release of the trailer, Deathly Hallows will probably inundate fans with even more reasons to head to opening night in November. As if people needed more reasons.

Beautiful women with weapons is becoming the next hot trend in Hollywood to the objection of absolutely no one. Helen Mirren wields a massive machine gun in Red, and now we can see Mary Elizabeth Winstead blasting a flame thrower in the recently released pictures from The Thing. Plus, there are plenty of male stars wielding flamethrowers, science being done, more flamethrowers, a ton of snow, and the added bonus of flamethrowers. Check out the gallery after the jump.

There are two reasons to check out these images of Method Man and company in the upcoming thriller film The Mortician 3D. One, the rapper from Wu Tang has never, as far as we could research, been photographed looking like The Doctor. It looks as though they’ve stolen his wardrobe directly from the set of Dr. Who, and he pulls it off impeccably. It’s the Mr. Magoo specs that bring it together. Secondly, you want to know what Edward Furlong has been up to since running away from that killer, melting Terminator model all those years ago.

The classic response to the first look of a costume is to mock and deride it, especially because in the comic book world, costumes show up a lot differently on screen than they do in amateur photographs. We caught a glimpse of a costume test for Chris Evans as Captain America back at Comic-Con, but it was ill-fitting (probably because they weren’t making custom fits for each of the possible actors). Here, we finally get to see him in action – riding a motorcycle that I want to buy immediately, hunting down Nazis, and being chased by what appear to be the black-suited versions of what pulled young James Kirk over in Star Trek.

David Fincher works fast. Rooney Mara was just recently announced as his Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and she’s already on a motorbike and looking like she paid $2 for a bad weave job. I didn’t get a doctorate in wigs (because the classes were too hard), but that thing on her head sure looks like one. If it is, it begs the question: was she not willing as an actor to cut her hair short and dye it black? If it’s not, it begs the question: who did that to her head and why aren’t they in custody? It’s inane to judge the possible quality of a film based on a couple of photographs, but these don’t make Mara look all that great.

One is a movie based on a board game. One is the fourth installment to a franchise based off an amusement park ride. Both are what the people have been holding their breath in nervous anticipation for. Luckily, both are delivering in the ridiculousness department. Because that’s a real department. It’s true. I’ve driven by a movie set before, so I know. A few intrepid spies have nabbed some shots of Rihanna and her non-regulation haircut for Battleship, and the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides main line up.

Movie lovers wanting to violently tear out their hair whenever an adult property is watered-down for the PG-13 cash will find themselves rejoicing next to the bearded miscreants who love drinking 60 Minute IPA from a giant novelty beer stein. That’s because FSR is organizing a march on Washington, DC to take back Hollywood from infantilizing films that should be sexed up instead of sexed down. Why are we doing it it Washington, DC instead of Hollywood? Ask the intern who bought the plane tickets. If these photos of the set of Conan are to be believed, we’ll also be inviting the fans of the upper half of the nude female form.

Come see for yourself! Wonders aplenty! Owls taking flight! Wizard on witch romance! Evil board meetings! The fine folks over at Warners have released some fantastic photographs taken by Jaap Buitendijk that should satiate even the biggest Potter fan along the long and winding journey to November’s release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There’s no spoilers, per se, but there are a few things that fans will definitely recognize. Just try to stay off the dirigible plums.

A bunch of set photos have been sneaked from the very clutches of the Chicago shoot for Transformers 3: The Search for More Money. There was also the longest news story of the year in which Megan Fox was fired, followed by 12 stories a day confirming, then questioning, then re-confirming that a Victoria’s Secret model had taken her place. The movie doesn’t come out for another year, and although Michael Bay is notorious for keeping things under wraps, there’s already been a sickening amount of information and media spat out upon the face of the internet. Are you already tired of it? If you haven’t thrown up at the mere sight of the title, read more to check out said set photos and a video where you can’t actually see anyone doing any stunts!

There’s is no telling what Drive Angry 3D is about. At its barest, it involves a revenge concept with Nicolas Cage being crazy (and revengy). The rumors paint it as a beast of a movie that might be a kinetic meltdown or a version of Bad Lieutenant that’s been stabbed in the chest with an adrenaline needle. Fortunately, none of the concept art for it makes any sense in that context. It’s beautiful and eerie, but it looks a bit like a world where Max Rockatansky started worshiping the devil. See for yourself after the jump. (And remember to Jump Angry.)

First Look Studios has provided us with a little treat today: a set of exclusive images for their upcoming DVD release 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams, from director Tim Sullivan. It debuted at the Texas Frightmare Weekend earlier this year and will make its way to DVD on July 20th. From what I can tell, it has been pretty well received. Shock Till You Drop gave it an 8/10 rating, saying that it “isn’t going to be to the taste of the more prudish amongst us. However, for those that do relish all the finer things in life, this sequel is the real deal!”

Like the trailer, you might want to steer clear of the 40 pictures in this gallery just in case you’re keeping your mind as free and clear as possible before feeling the darkness of the theater wash over you. On the other hand, you might want to continue building your excitement by digging through each and every one of them. Twice.
