This week’s Blu-ray Report takes us all over the world, from the deepest parts of the universe to the jungles of Vietnam. It is fantasy and fun, silliness and absurdity — it is Pixar’s WALL-E and the ridiculous ride that is Tropic Thunder.

This weekend we have two special editions of the Blu-ray Patrol, one that features a Kung Fu-fighting Panda and another that features everyone’s favorite suave spy. We begin today with a look at Kung Fu Panda’s Blu-ray release…

The Incredible Hulk is one of those movies — the kind that you should probably be buying on Blu-ray either way. Though, it would certainly be the laziest review of my career if I were to just chalk this up to ’see it because its in HD’, so I will attempt to break it down a bit.

I did not count Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull among the BD releases that were sure to knock me off of my sofa. And it turns out, I was right and wrong, all at the same time.

In the world of reviewing Blu-ray releases, I am a lover, not a fighter. And when it comes to Forgetting Sarah Marshall on Blu-ray, I’m loving it up big time.

When you dive head first into the world of Blu-ray, as I have, you come to realize very quickly that the extra dollar isn’t always worth it. And these two releases are here to prove that theory.

There is a reason why they are calling this release the Ultimate 2-Disc Edition — it is pretty ultimate, indeed. I would also go as far as to give it another description, because it is perhaps the most definitive Blu-ray release of 2008.

Coyote Ugly is one of those movies that stuffy, pretentious film critics jump on - they are never short on ways to knock down the often shallow, but still entertaining works of Jerry Bruckheimer. Personally, I have always been someone who would rather be entertained - and sexy women dancing on a bar with a cliché love story and some cheesy dialogue is certainly entertaining, to say the least.

One of the most disappointing Blu-ray releases since the inception of the format.
