On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil say good-bye to scary movies (well, not really, considering two are released this week) and decide to ring in the Christmas season early. They stare at some goats, grumble about not being allowed to open a box, visit the uncanny valley and debate whether Kevin is spoiling the viewing experience for The Fourth Kind. They also lay down a Fat Guy Five about awesome UFO movies, and Kevin gloats over Neil’s not-so-accurate box office predictions from last week.

On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil meet up in the Magical Studio in the Sky to have a Fat Guy Smackdown to beat all Fat Guy Smackdowns. While they don’t come to odds so much with A Serious Man, they certainly disagree about Michael Jackson’s This Is It. In honor of the film, Kevin lays down a Fat Guy Five about Five Cinematic Sex Offenders while Neil protests with his own Fat Guy Five about the Five Movies to Watch on Halloween. The Fat Guys also offer their predictions about the box office and wish the listeners a Happy Halloween.

Fat Guys at the Movies Ep. 136 – Where the Fat Things Are

On This Week’s Show: Neil stuns the interwebs by once again seeing none of the new movies this week, but Kevin swoops in to save the day with his reviews of Where the Wild Things Are and Law Abiding Citizen. However, due to the fact that Screen Gems releases total crap, neither of them were afforded a chance to see The Stepfather, but that doesn’t stop the Fat Guys from offering their opinions. And speaking of opinions, in honor of Where the Wild Things Are, Kevin and Neil throw down a Fat Guy Five about great adaptations of children’s books before Neil makes a relatively creepy revelation about himself at the climax of the show.

Fat Guys at the Movies Ep. 131 – I Can Do Fat All By Myself

On This Week’s Show: Gremlins of all kinds invade the Magical Studio in the Sky. It’s either a sign of the apocalypse or a sign of bad movies in September. The first wave of gremlins caused a glitch in Neil’s gender clarification surgery, so he had to return to the Netherlands to reclarify. Fortunately, David Medsker from Bullz-eye.com hopped into the co-pilot’s chair this week. But gremlins struck again, causing some unforeseen sound glitches. We apologize, and we promise to kill the gremlins if we see them. Still, Kevin and David were able to have a cogent discussion about the new releases, even though only one movie was screened early enough for review. Still, Kevin and David throw down some DVD picks and a Fat Guy Five that features five great movies with numbers in the title.

On This Week’s Show: So here we are with another weekend of movies that Hollywood deemed unfit for critical consumption. Kevin and Neil call shenanigans on the studios this week in the Magical Studio in the Sky. Kevin had the gumption to go see the only press screening of Extract while Neil boycotted it out of principle. Word is that even the few press members who got to see Gamer had a chastity belt of a gag order, and All About Steve was only shown in limited markets. Meh! Such is Labor Day weekend. Go rent a DVD or Blu-ray instead of heading to the cinemas. There’s much more quality stuff out at the video store than in the theaters this week.

The Fat Guys also trip back to Woodstock (which took place before either was born) with Ang Lee’s new flick Taking Woodstock. Finally, Neil gives some love to World’s Greatest Dad, featuring a very hairy and very naked Robin Williams, then they throw down a Fat Guy Five about horror franchises that just… won’t… die!

Together, they take a trip to District 9 and galavant with The Time Traveler’s Wife. Kevin and Emily also talk Bandslam and Vanessa Hudgens in pictures, as well as Ponyo and The Goods. In the second segment, Kevin and Emily derail right into a cogent discussion of modern cinema, and then they get back on track for a Fat Guy Five: Five Awesome Alien Flicks.

On This Week’s Show: Kevin throws some hatred Neil’s way for being one of the few critics in the country to be allowed to see G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA. They put their differences aside for a brief moment to discuss the alien holocaust movie known as Julie & Julia. Then the claws come out as the Fat Guys have a smackdown about whether A Perfect Getaway sucks or rocks. Then, in honor of films like G.I. Joe and Transformers 2, they throw down a Fat Guy Five about movies that aren’t great but they loved as kids.

On This Week’s Show: Kevin and Neil reunite in the Magical Studio in the Sky after Neil’s stint at the big house (or rather the little house; it was Pahrump, Nevada after all). They contemplate how funny Funny People is and whether anyone knows that Aliens in the Attic is coming out. Neil wets his pants at the mere mention of The Collector and Kevin gloats about his prophetic predictions about farting Guinea pigs topping the box office. Finally, the Fat Guys lay down a new Fat Guy Five, which highlights their favorite funny people who went from the stand-up stage to the silver screen.
