Yesterday we reported on the fact that and Islamic-American group is offended by the title of Alan Ball’s new film. Today, Ball, the author of the novel upon which the movie is based and the studio have made their statements.

Another day goes by and someone else is offended by a movie that is closing in on its release date. This time, it is a group of Islamic-American’s who aren’t too fond of Alan Ball’s upcoming flick Towelhead.

It appears that with Tropic Thunder just over a week away from its theatrical release, not everyone is laughing at its often ridiculous premise.

I bet you thought the biggest threat to the world of the Hobbits was Gollum, Sauron and the one Ring. Think again, it’s Christopher Tolkien, son of J.R.R., who wants to shut down Peter Jackson’s two new films based on Tolkien’s The Hobbit directed by Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro.
