i think that tim burton is one of the best directors EVER! johnny depp is also the most amazing actor and deserves more recognition. you're all just haters because you dont like remakes of disney films. if you don't like tim burtons movies, then don't watch them. *sweeney todd is the best movie ever* AND dont insult johnny depp! he is my savior.

As soon as I found out Burton was doing Alice, I knew Depp would get cast as the Mad Hatter. It seemed like the perfect role for him.

Mad Hatter would work well in Nolan’s universe. It could all be blamed on electronics. Either that or some kind of mobster real-world version of the penguin.
