Jarvis Mishler - Senior Critic

BIO: Growing up a military brat, Jarvis has lived in many different places, met many different people, and subsequently collected a wide variety of interests. His love for stories, especially the potent sight and sound combination of film, has been his biggest passion since he can remember. Movies provide entertainment and a sense of the familiar no matter what city Jarvis finds himself in. Throughout his travels, he has begun to notice the universal appeal of movies. Everyone has seen at least a few films and almost everyone has one particular movie they call “favorite.” It wasn’t long before Jarvis realized that “What kind of movies do you like?” was often a more powerful tool for getting to know someone than “What do you do for a living?” He has been talking about movies ever since. Jarvis is currently pursuing a BA in Philosophy that he hopes to one day find a use for, even if it’s only to make a little more sense out of David Lynch.
