It is with great dismay we read that Sylvesters Stallone’s contemporary, thoughtful war drama (subtle and cuttingly sarcastic raised eyebrow must be imagined) Rambo will not be screened to the press.

Ever since I was conned by a fake Star Wars clip, I’ve been reasonably cautious regarding what trailers are genuine and what ones aren’t.

Apparently Cube would love to get a crack at the role of B.A. Baracus and feels he could bring something special to the film. We don’t.

Everyone owns a few DVDs that they might be embarrassed — nay, humiliated to admit to. With this in mind I have decided to take a stand and say “Yes, I own that copy of (insert name of cringe worthy DVD here) and I am damn proud of it.”

The recent furor over who was in control of the Hitman project and what rating it was going to get brought to light the lengths a studio will go to in order to ensure profitability of a movie.

Joblo is eloquently reporting that Thundercats has finally got a director through the cat flap and into the creative litterbox ready to create a CGI money making… err, turd? And the man inheriting this giant ball of yarn is video-game veteran Jerry O’Flaherty and this will be his cherry-popping first directorial movie attempt.

With so many films coming out and merely following the same tired lines as previous attempts (like trilogies, always the same characters doing stuff. GOD!) I got to thinking, whatseries richly deserved a BIG screen outing yet never got the chance? Here are some of my personal favorites.

Who watches the Watchmen? No-one…….yet. But Zack Snyder is in the process of making Watchmen, so that we can all watch them on the glorious silver screen. Take a look at his first video diary direct from the set of the 2009 release.

Simon Pegg is single handedly providing British comedy movies with some credibility. I don’t think anyone could look at this statement and claim any fault with it. Both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz received positive reviews and healthy returns resulting in the creative team of Pegg and Frost being taken more seriously both in Hollywood and in the eyes of George Romero (which I’m sure we can all agree is the REAL benchmark).
