Bio: Jenn grew up in Cerritos, California renting videos with her dad at our local Mom and Pop video store. She owes her film addiction to the stores owner, who she eventually came to know as Auntie Lila.
Later, she attended the University of California, San Diego as a double major in Communications and Political Science with an emphasis in production. Rejected from film school (not really; she never applied), she currently works full time and hopes to one day become something cool.

Though this film had me at “achingly romantic,” I cringe at the thought of someone rolling their eyes and overlooking this remarkable film at the fault of the advertisers who betrayed this film’s distinct uniqueness. Comments |

The Second Corey Not In the Second Lost Boys There are rumors of remakes and sequels floating around about all sorts of 80’s hits including The Goonies Animated and Ferris Bueller: Another Day Off; some even with merit, like Indiana Jones 4. The next victim is the 1987 teen vamp classic, The Lost Boys. Granted, the 80’s is arguable the best decade for teen and family flicks, so I can’t blame Hollywood for trying to recreate some of that magic. Comments |

Another Day For Ferris Bueller The greatest time period in cinematic history has to be the 80’s. Before you gag, let me just remind of you some of the classic 80’s movies that defined pop culture. The Breakfast Club, E.T., Die Hard, and of course, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off . . . and there’s talk of a sequel. Now, you’re allowed to gag. I don’t know how I feel about this. I am simultaneously appalled and guiltily excited about the possibility. Comments |

Fans Won’t See ‘Mars’ Just Yet The Internet has been a buzz with rumors that the CW’s recently retired (or should I say euthanized) detective show, “Veronica Mars,†will be made into a movie. Following the shows abrupt end last May, fans and hopefuls longed, pleaded, and offered up their first born child for an on-screen resurrection. Take a look at any message board, and you’ll see what I mean. One man even proposed during a “Veronica Mars†commercial break. Comments |

Imagine living your life on the run, unable to remember what your real name is, and having the only person you ever loved (as far as you can remember . . .) shot dead because of your relationship with her? It must suck to be Jason Bourne. Comments |

When people fall in love with Shia LaBeouf, they just can’t get enough of him. Spielberg cast him in The Fourth Installment of the Indian Jones Adventure and he executively produced LaBeouf’s summer’s blockbuster Transformers. Apparently, he’s the next Tom Hanks. Now Disturbia director D.J. Caruso and star LaBeouf team up again for DreamWorks’ new thriller Eagle Eye. Comments |

Here, my friends, is the epitome of the Hollywood Blockbuster. Big, flashy, entertaining, and charming, this movie made me remember what it was like to see through the eyes of my 6-year-old self again. How the heck did they make a mere car turn into a friggin’ robot right before my eyes?!? Magic of course! [...] Comments |
