Trailer: 300
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on December 18, 2006
There are two things that excite me about young hotshot director Zack Snyder. One is that he is slated to direct the film adaption of one of my favorite action novels of all time, Rainbox Six in 2008. The second is that long before he does that, he will release 300, starring Gerard Butler. 300 is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City) about the battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. The battle is said to have inspired the world’s first democracy in Greece, based on the courage of 300 Spartan soldiers who faught bravely against millions of Persian invaders.
The story is pretty cool, yes. But the film looks absolutely astounding. There are no words in the English language that describe the level of cool shown off in this trailer. Brian Gibson dubbed the teaser to this film “The Most Amazing Trailer Ever” and I am here to tell you that he hath been proven wrong…. This version is the best ever. Just click the picture above to check out the trailer.
